The Rainbow Bridge

This page is dedicated to the memory of all our Doberman friends and companions that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge

Dobe Prayer

I was standing on a hillside in a field of blowing wheat and the spirit of a Doberman was lying at my feet. He looked at me with kind dark eyes an ancient wisdom shining through and in the essence of his being I saw love there too. His mind did lock upon my heart as I stood there on that day and he told me of this story about a place so far away.

I stood upon that hillside in a field of blowing wheat and in a twinkling of a second his spirit left my feet. His tale did put my heart at ease my fears did fade away about what lay ahead of me on another distant day.

"I live among God's creatures now in the heavens of your mind, so do not grieve for me, my friend as I am with my kind. My collar is a rainbow's hue, my leash a shooting star My boundaries are the Milky Way where I sparkle from afar. There are no pens or kennels here for I am not confined but free to roam God's heavens among the Dobie kind. I nap the day on snowy clouds, gentle breezes rocking me, and dream the dream of earthlings of how it used to be. The trees are full of liver treats and tennis balls abound, Milkbones line the walkways, just waiting to be found.

There even is a ring setup the grass all lush and green, where even Rescue Dobermans become the best of breed. For we're all winners in this place we have no faults, you see. And GOD passes out blue ribbons to each one, even me.

I drink from waters laced with gold my world is beauty to behold. And wise old dogs do form my pride to amble at my very side.

At night I sleep in Angel's arms her wings protecting me and moonbeams dance about us as stardust falls on thee.

So when your life on earth is spent you stand at heaven's gate have no fear of loneliness, for here, you know I wait."

Hagar
January 4,2015. I adopted Hagar three years ago from Midwest Doberman Rescue after My Special Dobie Boy "Warf" passed away. Hagar was the epitome of an 85 pound lap dog and would never turn down the opportunity to snuggle on the couch or spend the night sleeping with me. His death, was not the best way to start 2015 but I know that Hagar and Warf are trading stories about me right now on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. I miss you buddy and love you very much.

Molly
Born July 3,2000- September 26, 2014 Molly we loved you so much and miss you even more. You were an old Dobie Girl 14 years we had with you and there wasn't a more precious Dobie Girl. You passed quietly laying in the grass in the yard. You were always so happy running and jumping like a puppy with your Best Friend Dozer. Always in are heart we love you Molly Girl.

Spice
Spice was born in 2002 and "Crossed the "Rainbow Bridge" on August 26, 2014. It was a sad day, Miss Spice lived a long and happy life with her dad David and he feels that he was the Lucky One was Spice came into his life. Spice was a very pretty Dobie Girl who had her dad wrapped around her finger but her dad says, "She could do no wrong his eyes. Spice had her own sofa and complete run of the house. She loved going for rides to get cheeseburgers! She brought great joy to her dad and had a wonderful life! You are missed Dobie Girl Spice!

Max
Max a "Noble Doberman", "Crossed the Rainbow Bridge" on September 14, 2014. Max, your mom and dad feel we were fortunate to have 9 wonderful years with you. Their Noble, sweet and loveable red-head Max. You showed love and appreciation for your new home with gentle foot pats and nose-butts (the Max "kiss"). You brought joy everyday and made us laugh out loud as you listened intently to your Mom's frequent phone calls to you. You were adored by your dober-sister Cali and as she did in life, we know she is "showing you the ropes" at the Rainbow Bridge until we all are united again. Our heart and soul ache with the loss. Much love forever- your Mom and Dad Dad.
