My name is Tara. I am a beautiful 10 year old red/rust with cropped ears and a docked tail. I need to gain a little weight, but other than that I am in perfect health. I am told that I don't look or act like a 10 year old. I have very little grey around my muzzle and I am very energetic. My owner had to go into a nursing home and I wasn't able to go with him. I went to live with his daughter, but I was so used to having someone around all the time that I wasn't happy. They also didn't know how to really take care of me and were only feeding me half the amount I should have been eating so I lost weight and tore things up because I was so unhappy. I then wound up at animal control where Doberman Rescue found me. I was so very unhappy and was ready to give up. I am now in a foster home where there is someone around most of the time. When they can't be home I have other dogs to help keep me company. I am housebroken and very good, even when left alone. I really don't like crates, but since I am so good my foster mommy doesn't crate me. I think the perfect home for me would be with someone who doesn't work and maybe another dog to keep me company when you have to go to the store or need to go out.
